Preferred Mutual Seeks Area Applicants for Scholarships
The Preferred Foundation, a corporate giving entity of Preferred Mutual Insurance Company, announced the opening of the application period for its college scholarships. Exceptional local students with strong academic performance and plans to attend an accredited college/university have until February 26, 2021 to apply for a Preferred Foundation Scholarship.
Awarded since 1992, Preferred Foundation Scholarships have helped over 60 students continue their education and pursue their goals. In 2021, two scholarships will be awarded. An advisory committee will evaluate applicants based on their achievements, academic ability, leadership, and community service.
To be eligible for the scholarship, a student must: 1) be a current high school senior in Otsego, Delaware, or Chenango Counties in New York, 2) have a grade-point average of 95 or better, and 3) plan to enroll in a full-time baccalaureate program at an accredited colleg
