Born in eli, nevada, which is nowheres ville in nevada. Her father had numerous different occupations. He sailer, miner, farmhand, truck driver. He died when pat was 18. Sher mom died when she was 14. She had a high school education. Her parents had already died. But what she did was she worked her way through school. And she went to junior college. It highlights the collections at the University Library system as well from the Wisconsin Historical society. Different artifacts related to not only wisconsins role in the war but also what was happening in each country when the conflict began in the summer of 1914.
