(WBAY) - Communities across the region are holding Memorial Day events to honor the military members who died while in service to our country. Action 2 News has created a list of events being held in Northeast Wisconsin on Memorial Day. Wisconsin Governor Tony Evers has ordered the U.S. and Wisconsin flags to fly at half-staff from sunrise to 12 p.m. on May 31 in observance of Memorial Day. You can find a list of events below. Anderson County to host 13th annual Memorial Day event

Anderson County to host 13th annual Memorial Day event Oakridger Leon Jaquet, director of Veterans Services, invites everyone to Anderson County’s 13th annual Memorial Day Remembrance Program scheduled for 10 a.m. Monday, May 31. As in years past, the program will be conducted on the lawn in front of the Anderson County Courthouse, 100 North Main Street, a news release stated. This year’s program will include a color guard and speeches, and will end with a ceremonial laying of the wreath. Jason Deel, Major, U.S. Army, retired, will be the keynote speaker. County Mayor Terry Frank and State Representative John Ragan also will offer remarks.
