Coffee and Conversation: I’m looking forward to sunshine

With the weather warming, so does my desire to spend more and more time outside. I often joke that one day I may just put a chair and table out in the parking lot at the office, so I can work in the sunshine.
I don’t think the weather is there yet, but warmer days are ahead.
Are you looking for something fun to do outside? Again, this year the Young Leader Committee is hosting the Annual Bruce Johnson Memorial Farm to Farm 5K/10K Run on March 27. This is one of my favorite events. A few important dates to remember if you are planning on participating.

Today, I found myself saying how thankful I was for the 14-degree temperature day, sun shining and the wind being at a minimum. The last few weeks really have tested the winter-loving part of me. The cold gloomy days make winter trudge on like maple syrup running up hill in January. I often find myself thinking of our livestock farmers on my drive to the office in the morning. I think about how thankful I am for these individuals who get up day after day to care for their livestock. They wake up early to ensure the animals have water to drink, plenty of feed and shelter. Winter should remind us all how much those who care for animals go the extra mile. It would be easier to stay inside where it s warm, but they have made a commitment to their farms to provide top-notch care no matter the weather. So, here is a special thank you to those who care for livestock.
