(ABC 6 News) The Olmsted County Sheriff s Office and the Rochester Police Department are reporting more catalytic converter thefts in the area.
Rochester Police said an employee at the Think Bank Corporate Campus on Members Pkwy NW parked her 2005 Toyota Prius in the parking lot around 8 a.m. on Friday, April 2. When the woman came back to her vehicle and started it around 6 p.m., she noticed a loud noise coming from the vehicle.
Police said the woman took the vehicle to a mechanic where it was confirmed her catalytic converter had been taken.
Around 7:30 a.m. on Sunday, April 4, Rochester Police said a man from Bemidji went to start his 2007 Dodge Ram pickup in the parking lot of an apartment complex located at 4870 Main Ave. SE and heard a loud sound coming from the truck.
