Members of the Tomah Health Community Foundation gave $1,500 to ‘Brighter Tomorrows’.
The donation will support a therapy dog trained to support survivors as well as residents suffering from anxiety and stress.
“Children can also recall events more easily when they have a dog with them. So there is a lot of data and research that proves that victims really do benefit from therapy dogs,” said Brighter Tomorrows program coordinator Jan Burder.
