Rosella “Sis” Harrison Humphreys, 74, of Breckenridge, passed away at her residence on Friday, October 7, 2022. Her funeral service will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 11, 2022, in the Melton-Kitchens Chapel of Memories, with John Harrison officiating. Rosella’s family will welcome friends for a visitation at the funeral home from 5:00-6:00 p.m.

Fay Hope Parks, age 98, passed away in Ohio on Monday, Feb. 8, 2021. Her funeral service will begin at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 17, in the Chapel of Memories at Melton-Kitchens Funeral Home. The family will have a 30-minute visitation beginning at 1 p.m. the day of the service. Her interment will be at the Necessity Cemetery following the funeral service.
Fay was born on Oct. 30, 1922, in Breckenridge, Texas, to the late Ellis and Willie (Sullivan) Hope. She graduated from Breckenridge High School in 1940. Early in life she worked at a corner grocery store in Breckenridge where she met her husband, Ted, who she married in 1950. They moved to Snyder and Fay became a member of the Home Demonstration Club. They eventually left Texas when Ted was offered a job in Palm Springs, Calif. Fay fell in love with Palm Springs. They had many friends there who they would go on adventures and fly as a group in their private planes to various places including Alaska.
