Stop and search reveals thousands of pounds worth of drugs MORE than £10,000 worth of drugs have been found in a bag a man was carrying through Trowbridge town centre in broad daylight. On Thursday, January 28 at around 2pm, PC Millis Miller and PC Storm Brand stopped a man whilst they were out on foot patrol in the town. The man initially ran from officers but he was swiftly detained and was searched under the misuse of drugs act. The officers found what is suspected to be around £10,000 worth of cocaine, £850 worth of cannabis and over £500 worth of MDMA. A 32-year-old local man was arrested on suspicion of Possession with Intent to Supply Class A and Class B Drugs and taken to Melksham Police Station for questioning. He has since been released under investigation.

Jailed: People sent to prison in 2021 for crimes in Wiltshire

Seven people sent to prison this year for crimes in Wiltshire - Pictures from Wiltshire Police FROM robbery to running a cannabis farm, several people across Wiltshire have already faced justice this year, having been jailed for their roles in criminal activity across the county. Here are six cases published by Wiltshire Police, which resulted in court hearings and perpetrators going to prison. Jailed in January: 1) James Cherry, aged 28, of no fixed address in Swindon, was jailed for eight years and seven months after breaking a woman s jaw and robbing several shops.   In 2020 Cherry robbed a series of shops in Swindon including a McColls shop, a pop-up shop in Cavendish Square, the Esso service station on Dorcan Way, the Lloyds Pharmacy in Park South and Superdrug in the town centre.
