Share ORLANDO – The Ohio State dance team competed over the last two days at the UDA College National Championships in Orlando, Fla. and the Buckeyes and making the trip home to Columbus with some well-earned hardware. Ohio State won a double national championship, claiming crowns in both the Division IA Jazz and Pom divisions. The wins came after performances in the finals on Wednesday afternoon and evening. “This season was unlike any other and I am most proud of the resilience the team showed through an extended season,” said head coach Melissa McGhee. “They did not let circumstances beyond their control define them and pushed through with passion and determination to produce two amazing routines! This was a total program effort – our choreographers and consultants, support staff, administration, parents and alumni all contributed to this year’s success!”

Kelli Prather, 48, is accused of applying for six Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) loans for six businesses through the CARES Act COVID-19 relief fund. The PPP is a loan designed to provide an incentive for small businesses to keep their workers on the payroll.

Prather is one of four people charged federally in separate cases with defrauding COVID-19 pandemic relief funding programs. The four are alleged to have lied about owning businesses and employing others. According to the U.S. Attorney s Office, some defendants applied multiple times for relief funding, and some spent the funding they received on personal items and vacation travel.
