Chicken Salad Chick is targeting the state of Virginia for franchise growth, aiming to open six locations via franchise partnerships over the next two years.
The Auburn, Alabama-based chain, which has two locations in the greater Richmond area, is kicking off the development push with a unit opening later this month in Christiansburg. Its Hampton and Roanoke units will be ready by summer s end, and the chain plans to have eight locations in Virginia by 2023, according to a company press release.
Melissa Holt, who grew up in Virginia and brings five years of experience of in-store restaurant operations and internal franchise system management in the restaurant industry, is behind the Hampton development. Situated in the heart of the Hampton s shopping and entertainment district at the Peninsula Town Center, the restaurant, located at 2850 Kilgore Avenue, will open in early Q3. She ll add a second location to the greater Williamsburg area in 2022.
