The Regina YWCA has been hit by a wave of hate online after they announced a transwoman would be their keynote speaker for their Women of Distinction awards presentation.
YWCA Regina hosted its eighth annual Coldest Night of the Year walk on Saturday night. The walk raises money to help the homelessness crisis in Regina by supporting YWCA's family shelter My Aunt's Place.
The City of Regina is getting $6.6 million from the Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation to build another 25 rapid housing units by November 2024. City officials have until March 15 to decide where the affordable homes will be built and which organization will run them.
