Alton man charged with cocaine delivery

EDWARDSVILLE An Alton man was charged Friday with delivering cocaine near a public housing site.
Deandre S. Brewster, 23, was charged March 12 with unlawful delivery of a controlled substance while located within 500 feet of public housing, a Class 1 felony.
The case was presented by the Alton Police Department.
According to court documents, on Aug. 11 Brewster allegedly delivered less than one gram of cocaine to a confidential informant while being within 500 feet of residential property at Alton Acres, a public housing facility.
Bail was set at $100,000.
