Defiant Nelson Mandela Bay housing delivery boss Mvuleni Mapu returned to work last week, insisting the precautionary suspension he was placed on after his arrest in August 2020 had lapsed, much like that of city manager Noxolo Nqwazi.
After a day of negotiations between the Nelson Mandela Bay municipality and unions, the two finally came to an agreement that saw the suspension of a go-slow by electricity and energy department staff.
