FedNor investment providing funding supports for local projects

SHARE ON: Photo supplied by Blind River Tourism. Several projects along the North Shore corridor and Manitoulin Island will see improvements thanks to grant funding from FedNor. The Federal Economic Development Initiative for Northern Ontario grant of $473,000 will go to several projects in Blind River and two on Manitoulin Island. Blind River will receive $155,000 to go towards revitalizing the downtown including the marina along the main highway. Dawson Citizen’s Improvement Association is receiving just over $254,000 to go towards improvements at the Meldrum Bay Marina. And Manitoulin Island Cycling Advocates will receive just over $62,000 to go towards improving recycling on Manitoulin Island.
