KBP, stakeholders initiate Bike For A Cause project Philippine Information Agency 01 May 2021, 20:38 GMT+10 PAGADIAN CITY, May 1 (PIA) - More than a hundred cyclists in the city and neighboring areas of the province participated in the Bike For A Cause event held recently. The 24-kilometer charity biking event was organized by the Kapisanan ng mga Brodkaster ng Pilipinas (KBP), Zamboanga del Sur chapter, in partnership with the 1st Field Artillery (Beat Em) Battalion, Army Artillery Regiment, 1st Cavalry (Leader) Squadron, Mechanized Infantry Division, Philippine Army, Tactical Operations Group, Philippine Air Force and Zamboanga del Sur Police Provincial Office (ZSPPO). Melchor Coronel, chairman of the KBP local chapter said the event was held with stakeholders to raise funds and help the underprivileged sector of society especially persons with disabilities (PWDs) in the city whose livelihoods have been affected due to of the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic.
