Melanie Reay has expressed her excitement for the 2021-22 season, after Sunderland AFC Ladiesâ fixture list for the FA Womenâs Championship return was released on Friday morning.
Reayâs side are scheduled to travel to Coventry United first for August 29âs season opener, a match the manager is already looking towards.
âWeâre really looking forward to it,â Reay said.
âWeâre on the road for the first game with a good fixture for us against Coventry United â weâll do our research and prepare the team properly.
âThatâs what weâre all working towards.â
With many of the long-haul away trips taking place before the winter break, the Lasses face shorter journeys to Liverpool, Blackburn Rovers and Durham as the teamâs final three away fixtures.
