A 23-year-old accused of smuggling fentanyl into the Flathead County Detention Center last year saw the felony charge filed against her dismissed in January.
Melanie Lee Hickok, 23, entered her not guilty plea before Judge Danni Coffman in Flathead County District Court on Dec. 14. Following the arraignment, Hickok unsuccessfully sought to see her $80,000 bail reduced.
Prosecutors alleged in court documents that Flathead County Sheriff’s Office deputies treated two county inmates for fentanyl overdoses at about 2:30 a.m. on Nov. 26, just two days after Melanie Lee Hickok, 23, was booked into the jail.
