Melanie holt just got an update from the sheriff. Melanie, he said the corrections officer admitted having inappropriate contact with the i the inmate. Reporter he said his agency only became aware of this allegation yesterday. They told me that corrections deputies barry taylor was immediately relieved of duty and has since been terminated. We dont know the identity of the female inmate or why shes here in the jail. Its believed that barry had inappropriate contact with her on at least two occasions in the last several weeks.
