SEREMBAN: A former government department director has been fined RM5,000 in default four months’ jail by the Sessions Court here for submitting a false claim.
The accused being taken to the Sessions Court where they were jointly charge for the offence.
SEREMBAN: Two individuals, including a former government department head, claimed trial at the Sessions Court here to a charge of making a false claim.
Former Negri Sembilan and Melaka Orang Asli Department director Haslin Abdul Razak, 46, and businessman Mohd Irwan Redzuan Abdullah, 44, pleaded not guilty when the charge was read to them before judge Madihah Harullah.
The duo had allegedly submitted a claim of RM15,000 to the department for food and drinks for an event with the Orang Asli community at Bukit Payung in Melaka when in actual fact the event did not take place.
