Cint Makes Strong Debut on Nasdaq Stockholm

Shares in insight exchange and sample management platform Cint rose 30% to SEK 92.5 (EUR 9.2) per share from the original offer price of SEK 72 (EUR 7.2), after the firm placed its initial public offering (IPO) on the Nasdaq Stockholm this morning. The listing values Cint at more than EUR 1bn.
Founded in 1998 by former CEO Bo Mattsson, Cint now operates from fourteen global offices and its consumer network comprises more than 144 million respondents in more than 130 countries. In 2016, the firm was acquired by investment firm Nordic Capital for an undisclosed sum, and in 2020 its revenues increased 37% to SEK 986m (EUR 98m).
WEST Mercia Police are supporting a campaign to crackdown on motorists who continue to use their mobile phone at the wheel. Distraction behind the wheel is such a significant contributory factor with regards to road collisions and this campaign demonstrates a willingness by police forces across the UK to tackle the issue of mobile phone use. Recent research carried out by the RAC, showing a detailed picture of drivers’ attitudes and opinion, places mobile phone use as the top driver concern. Since 2018 there have been two fatalities, 14 serious injuries and 60 slight injuries in West Mercia where use of a mobile phone was recorded as a causation factor.
It s the season to be jolly, and police are warning Worcestershire motorists not be merry at the wheel, because officers numbers will be boosted in the county, during the festive period. West Mercia police say the drink and drug drive law is still a priority for West Mercia police during the run up to Christmas and New Year and motorists across the region are today being reminded of the dangers of driving under the influence of drink or drugs. Superintendent Mel Crowther for West Mercia Police said: It’s extremely frustrating that some motorists still selfishly choose to drive under the influence of drink or drugs in the knowledge that their actions could kill or seriously injure themselves or others. Drink or drug driving is completely unacceptable at any time and catching motorists who are prepared to take such a risk is a priority for us. Extra patrols will be conducted in the run up to and over Christmas and New Year in a bid to tackle those who commit the unacceptable
New Funds for Big Data Firm Tredence

In the US, AI-focused big data analytics provider Tredence has raised $30m in a round of funding, which it will use to expand into the healthcare sector; hire both in the US and abroad; and expand into Europe and China.
Headquartered in the San Francisco Bay Area, with additional offices in Chicago and in India, Tredence s technology-agnostic capabilities range from data visualization and data management to advanced analytics, big data and machine learning. These are used to provide business intelligence for marketing, sales, supply chain, operations, pricing, and mapping the customer decision journey.
Kantar s Paul Pacheco Joins Research Strategy Group

In Canada, full-service agency Research Strategy Group has appointed long-time Kantar exec Paul Pacheco as Executive Vice President, working in its Quant team.
Headquartered in Toronto, the firm works on discrete choice modelling, segmentation, prediction markets, product optimization, message modelling, design research and psychoanalytics, in sectors including packaged goods, pharma/healthcare and gaming. Pacheco (pictured) joins after a 25-year career at Kantar Canada, latterly as SVP, Customer Experience Leader, responsible for the financial performance of the CX practice. Before this, he was SVP of the Insights Division, having earlier been SVP, Healthcare Sector Leader.
