OHIO VALLEY The Ohio Department of Health reported one additional COVID-19 death in Gallia County on Friday, a person in the 50-59 age range.
In addition, three new COVID-19 cases were reported in Gallia County.
The West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources (DHHR) reported one additional case of COVID-19 in Mason County on Friday.
Four additional COVID-19 cases were reported by the Meigs County Health Department on Friday.

Gallia County
ODH reported a total of 2,353 cases of COVID-19 (since March 2020) in Gallia County as part of Friday’s update, three more than on Thursday.

OHIO VALLEY Gallia and Meigs Counties were the only two “yellow” counties on the Ohio Public Health Advisory System map which was updated on Thursday.
Yellow is a level one advisory, the lowest on Ohio’s ranking system.
According to the updated information from the Ohio Department of Health, Gallia County met one of the seven indicators, the one for percentage of non-congregate cases.
In the past two weeks, Gallia County has reported 12 total new cases, with is 40.14 cases per 100,000 population.
Meigs County met the same single indicator as Gallia County.

One new case of COVID-19 was reported by the Meigs County Health Department on Wednesday.
The West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources (DHHR) reported no additional cases of COVID-19 in Mason County on Wednesday.

OHIO VALLEY A total of nine additional COVID-19 cases were reported in the Ohio Valley Publishing area over the weekend.
The West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources (DHHR) reported six additional cases of COVID-19 in Mason County on Monday.
Two additional COVID-19 cases and two new hospitalizations were reported by the Meigs County Health Department on Monday.
One additional COVID-19 cases was reported in Gallia County over the weekend, according to the Ohio Department (ODH) of Health.
