Relatives of the Morbi bridge collapse tragedy have written a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressing anguish against the state government not opposing the bail of Oreva Group managing director Jaysukh Patel, one of the main accused in the incident. They have also demanded the removal of additional advocate general (AAG) Mitesh Amin who appeared on behalf of the state in the court. The letter highlights the shock and disappointment of the victims' families with the state government's approach.
A man in Mangaluru is accused of using different Aadhaar cards as bail surety. He submitted two Aadhaar cards with different numbers to obtain bail for three accused in a case at the additional district and sessions court FTSC-1 (Pocso). Another accused is also accused of using fake Aadhaar cards for bail surety in different cases. An investigation is ongoing.
