And excellence will always be enough.”    My coach in college used to end every halftime speech with this quote. I loved it… I would listen intently, take a deep breath and reset — ready to play my game and own the field like I always did. Perfection resonated with me — not excellence. I took perfection way too literally in college. On the field, I felt that I needed to be perfect or we wouldn’t win games. Off the field, I would strive for perfection in every part of my life. I wanted to be perfect. I had to be perfect.
