(Seguin) Thousands of pounds of food will be distributed for free to people who signed up for this week’s Mega Food Distrubition event. The free event will be held this morning outside the Seguin Coliseum, thanks to a partnership between the city of Seguin, GRMC and the New Braunfels Food Bank.
Volunteers are still need to help with the distribution of the food. Seguin City Manager Steve Parker says you can sign up to volunteer online, or you should just show up today and be ready to lend a hand.
“Too many of these things we have not had enough people show up. We want people to be able to take breaks, or people have to leave, and that just leaves a lot of work for everybody. So the more volunteers (we have), the better. If you’ve already signed up, great.
