and mean a lot to the congressional black caucus and many other progressive groups. and it s kind of unfortunate, but we are hopeful that when all the dust settles, a lot of these programs that are being cut in half will be okay. so i think, andrea, we ve got to be kind of careful in the rhetoric. this is early on. i can tell you that the groups, the progressive groups are very upset about this. they re going to make their voices heard. and i think in the end, the president s going to understand that he has got to have his base. i notice we re about to approach another election, but he s got to keep that in mind. well, clearly, he s also playing to a broader group, which are the independents, not just the base. yes, of course. i think he thinks that you guys have no place else to go. what if the president were to, you know, bite the bullet, choose your analogy, say to the republicans, let s meet in the middle, let s start talking
