U.S. Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) announced Kentucky’s colleges and universities were allocated a total of $203,628,298 to support students and campus communities during the coronavirus crisis. The federal funding, distributed by the U.S. Department of Education, was made available by the additional, targeted COVID-19 rescue legislation Senator McConnell negotiated and led to enactment in December.

KENTUCKY (WFIE) - More COVID-19 relief funding is on the way for several Kentucky colleges and universities.
For this round of funds, a total of more than $269 million will be divvied out.
âItâs my understanding the federal government has a formula,â Fr. Larry Hostetter, the president of Brescia University said. âThe federal government has all of our statistics. We submit that every year. In terms of enrollment, how many of our students are eligible for Pell Grants.â
