Rescue crews recover body of man missing in Chippewa Lake Avery Williams, Kelly Kennedy, Stephanie Czekalinski © Provided by WOIO Cleveland Rescue crews search for man missing in Chippewa Lake MEDINA COUNTY, Ohio (WOIO) - Authorities have recovered the body of a 28-year-old man who went missing in Chippewa Lake Saturday night, according to Ohio Department of Natural Resources spokesperson Stephanie O’Grady. ODNR said a man jumped off a boat and into Chippewa Lake around 9 p.m. Saturday. The man was found Sunday around 7:30 p.m. Friends of the young man told 19 News he grew up boating on Chippewa Lake. They say Saturday night he was getting ready to come in when his hat blew off into the water. They told us the 28-year-old jumped in to get it and never resurfaced.
