over again in the hearing, planned parenthood operates like all other health care providers that provide abortion services and see medicaid patients. very strict guidelines. all medicaid payments are overseen. this is one of the most highly regulated areas of health care. and again, i think it s important to understand that the vast majority of patients who come to us, come for preventive health care. half your clinics don t provide abortion services, is that correct? roughly correct. why not separate the abortion services as a totally separate clinic? that would be a physical fire wall. it would satisfy some members of congress. actually, i don t think it would satisfy many members of congress that are trying to end access to safe and legal abortion. i guess i would flip the question to you, why should women have to go to one separate place just because they want to

to law to fail. i think it s dastardly of cherry picking the information and fear monger. i want to get your thoughts as someone who helped write this law about the governors and the state legislatures who are choosing not to expand medicaid coverage to the poor. the white house expected that most governors would take this money because the government is going to do this expansion. does it surprise you that they re willing to play politics and throw caution to the wind? it s such a sweet deal for them. every state that opts in actually makes money on this arrangement because they get more they get 100% of the medicaid payments and they re no longer paying the payment in the
spending level until the year 2017 with this agreement. so we are well ahead of schedule and we are getting more deficit reduction in spending cuts in areas that we have never been able to get before. that s why i think this is a good agreement it makes divided government work and prevents government shutdowns which we think is a good idea as well. i love any deal by part san in this city is a really good sign. i like the fact that it s two years so there is some level of certainty for the business community. because that s what s been so painful the continuing resolutions no one know what was going to happen so they couldn t make business decisions. other than asking the federal workers to to pay more for pensions. where else? gulf of mexico for oil and gas drilling. 172 million barrels of oil, 302 billion cubic feet of natural gas in an area that had been closed off now is going to be open up. we are saying that deadbeat dads who don t pay for their kids medicaid payments need t
