In her address to the Labour Party Conference, she was focusing on the long Term Prize she promises will follow if labour can restore some stability. The much promised change in emphasis follows a Report Week that suggested a Consumer Sentiment had dropped last week that suggested a Consumer Sentiment had dropped Like A Stone through august a number of Business Leaders blaming the governments messaging for that. Today, though, the chancellor said any tax rises she introduces will not affect hard pressed working families. Therell be no return to austerity and she has pledged to continue spending on infrastructure. There will be no return to austerity. echo chamber has some value in this analysis. right. obviously you cover the echo chamber and are our media critic at the table. thinking about fox and the influence every day, do you see fox becoming more or more less influential for the president as the impeachment vote nears? well, i think it will become more important to the president, brian, because he needs it so much. and fox is so outside of nappollitono and a few other voices, fox is so in with him that right wing media grid you showed earlier is so important. when we compare it to we want a historical context, of course. but when we compare it to past impeachment proceedings, you can t come close because of the right wing media that s out there now. and the way it operates. you know, one of the problems fox is having is it s so happy to just take talking points from
what s important and where is god in my life and what am i doing? what are my priorities? i think already today just simply by what s happening today and everyone participating and we re all going to be better americans and catholics will certainly be more faithful by this visit. jason, you don t have to be religious to relate to what this man says, the moral foundation that is is really what we are as a people. you know, he is the rare figure of unity on the global stage. when he washed the feet of that young muslim girl in prison, in rome two years ago, it was an image that went across the international media grid. it really spoke volumes about forgiveness. radical mercy is the theme of this pope and i think it manifests in so many ways, in the small symbolic gestures and in the larger statements that he makes through his writings and speeches. i can t wait to hear what he has to say to our congress. they could all use a talking to by somebody who s got a moral basis, i think.
