North-east groups unite to shine spotlight on job opportunities amid pandemic © Kami Thomson / DCT Media A raft of north-east organisations have joined forces to boost job opportunities across the region. The move is part of Aberdeen City Council’s socio-economic rescue plan which was created in response to the impact of coronavirus. It will offer enhanced access to learning, training and business start-up support. The city council are working alongside North East Scotland College, Robert Gordon University (RGU) and Aberdeen University. Aberdeen & Grampian Chamber of Commerce, Aberdeenshire Council, Business Gateway Aberdeen City and Shire, Elevator, Opportunity North East (ONE), Skills Development Scotland and the Aberdeen Employability Training Providers Forum are also part of the scheme.
