What’s in the Warrant: In addition to deciding on the town’s annual budget, residents will also determine whether to amend the zoning bylaws on accessory apartments; accept Stagecoach Lane as a public way; amend the bylaws for Highland Cemetery; and transfer funds from free cash to reduce the tax rate.
Residents will also be asked to expend $100,000 for a water resources assessment (Article 12).
Capital budget requests include $75,000 from the Police Department to replace its portable radios; $700,000 to replace the Town House roof; and $80,000 for renovations to the offices, classrooms and floors at Chickering Elementary School.
