MFi Appoints New Members to Board of Directors

MFi Appoints New Board Members, March 15, 2021 The Medfield Foundation (MFi) recently announced that Kirsten Poler, Matthew Parillo, and Pamela Bates have been appointed to its Board of Directors. These appointments reflect the growth of MFi and its initiatives and contributions to the town. The MFi Board of Directors governs all Medfield Foundation events and campaigns, administers associated funds and works with local nonprofit groups. The work of MFi and our organizations is more important than ever in these times and our Board composition must evolve to support outreach to new residents and families in Medfield. With these changes, MFi has further increased the makeup of our board in terms of gender and career experience, said Evan Weisenfeld, President of Medfield Foundation.

Medfield Foundation launches 2021 Summer Camp Fund Appeal Common Content Editor’s Note: The following was submitted by the Medfield Foundation. Whether it was playing in the woods, swimming in a pond, making arts and crafts or building new skills with friends, many adults have happy memories of summer camp. Parents who cherished their summer camp experiences hope to provide the same for their children. Imagine if you couldn’t afford to provide that opportunity to your child? The summer of 2020 presented tremendous challenges for families on many fronts: from job losses, to safety concerns and restrictions resulting from COVID-19. The Medfield Foundation was thrilled to be able to provide a total of 57 weeks’ worth of camp to local children from funds donated to the Summer Camp Fund appeal. This was a remarkable increase from the 24 weeks of camp provided in 2019, and was only possible due to the incredible generosity of Medfield residents who donate to the Summer Camp Fund.

(Courtesy photo) MCSP funds another year of Interface Referral Service The Medfield Coalition for Suicide Prevention (MCSP) is proud to announce successfully funding the renewal of Interface Referral Service for the Town of Medfield for 2020-2021. In a year as emotionally trying as 2020, MCSP hopes to increase the awareness of this valuable service for any resident of Medfield. The William James INTERFACE Referral Service, offered through the Freedman Center, is a mental health and wellness referral Helpline available Monday through Friday, 9 am-5 pm, at 888-244-6843 (toll free). This is a free, confidential referral service for residents of participating communities. Callers from these participating communities are matched with licensed mental health providers from an extensive database, on average, within 2 weeks of their call to INTERFACE. Each referral best meets the location, insurance, and
