PURPOSE OF THE JOB: To provide a Non Destructive Testing (NDT), Mechanical Support and Consulting Service to the SA Navy and Armscor Dockyard. CRITICAL PERFORMANCE AREAS: Provide consulting services with NDT methods to be carried out on specific projects. Carry out NDT inspections and tests on ships, workshops, structural work, pressure vessels, mechanical and electrical equipment to find out the state of the materials and also recommend solutions. Accountable for safety of personnel in the workplace (Industrial Radiography – radiation protection).
