Woman handed ban after drink-driving crash in Chertsey

Image: Surrey RPU via Twitter A woman has been banned for driving for a year after she crashed into a parked lorry while over the alcohol limit. A photograph taken at the scene of the crash and reposted by Surrey Roads Policing Unit (RPU) showed the front of the car involved smashed to pieces in the incident. The crash happened in Chertsey on February 24, and the case was reviewed in court on earlier this month. The woman involved was handed a 12-month driving ban and ordered to pay fines, costs and surcharges totalling £239.
