Nikki R. Moore, 48 of Cumberland, Ohio Nikki R. Moore age 48 of Cumberland, OH passed away Thursday February 18, 2021 at her home surrounded by her loving family and under the care of Hospice of Guernsey Inc. She was born May 25, 1972 in Cambridge, OH a daughter of the late Wayne and Ruth Costello Trimmer. She was a 1990 graduate of Meadowbrook High School. She was a Zumba Instructor for many years at the Curves in Caldwell, having earned her Master Zin Instructor status. She enjoyed fishing and traveling in her RV. She could often be found crafting with her friend Carina. Nikki was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, who always kept their home going when her husband was called to serve his country.

Main St. The facility, called Batters Up, offers multiple indoor batting cages featuring three pitching machines and space designated for pitchers and catchers to work on their skills or just have a little fun. There is even a portable mound for baseball pitchers to hone their craft or simply find that next gem in hiding. Owners Brad and Crystal Dudley, along with their children, Tyler and Lynsey, are happy to bring Batters Up to Byesville to serve young and old alike from Byesville and the surrounding community.

Red Cross encourages people to donate blood, convalescent plasma The American Red Cross is in urgent need of Type O blood. According to Brian Williams, donor recruitment account representative of the Central Ohio American Red Cross Blood Services, urgent need means that the supply of Type O blood is not where they need it to be for meeting the orders of hospitals.  Williams said that January, even pre-pandemic and even more so during the pandemic, is a rough month for the agency for blood collection.  Now that the schools are not participating as much as they had prior to the pandemic the agency is hurting a bit more when it comes to low blood collection.
