Man charged with criminal homicide in death of Hermitage man

MADISON, Tenn. (WTVF) â Metro police said a 29-year-old has been charged with criminal homicide in the death of a Hermitage man.
Detectives said Bradford Gardner shot and killed 30-year-old Johnathan Welch outside of a home in the 1500 block of Meadow Bend Drive in Madison early Sunday morning.
Welch had been involved in a fight at the house late Saturday night and reportedly returned there a few hours later, when another fight happened in the front yard. Police believe Welch was running to his car when gunshots were fired. He died at the scene.
