On Wednesday, both residents and team members at WindsorMeade, an active senior living retirement community in Williamsburg, received doses of the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine.
The vaccination process began at 10 a.m. on Wednesday morning with Walgreens coordinating, scheduling, and administering the vaccine on behalf of the Virginia Department of Health, according to a news release from WindsorMeade.
“It will take three visits to vaccinate those among the community who provided consent to be immunized, starting with the two-dose process and a third visit for anyone who was missed,” WindsorMeade Executive Director Marilyn Gray said in a statement from the news release. “Our team members and residents are all very excited to start this process.”
