Waco man sentenced to 10 years in prison for felon in possession of firearm, US Attorney s Office says

WACO, Texas A 32-year-old Waco man was sentenced to 10 years in prison for possession of a firearm as a convicted felon, according to a release from the U.S. Attorney s Office in the Western District of Texas.
Brayshon Negale Cummings was sentenced by a federal judge in Waco on Feb. 3 after he was arrested May 4, 2020 by the U.S. Marshals Service Lone Star Fugitive Task Force, Waco police and the McLennan County Sheriff s Department. Cummings pleaded guilty to a felon-in-possession charge on Sept. 15, according to the release.

WACO, TX â COVID-19 hasn t slowed the criminals agendas when it comes to human trafficking. In fact, numbers are only getting worse. At least 20% of our national trafficking victims are coming through Texas at some point, explained Detective Joseph Scaramucci with the McLennan County Sheriff s Department.
Of course, the pandemic hasn t stopped law enforcement from working effortlessly to stop this horrible crime in Texas.
What some may not know is that human trafficking can happen right in front of your eyes and you wouldn t even notice.
west is about 15 miles north. we responded along with waco fire department. numerous fire agencies, sheriff s departments, mclennan county sheriff department, they are working in the downtown area securing the scene. they ve been going house to house, door to door, along with our local police department. we have got a tremendous response from law enforcement, medical, fire personnel, first responders, and businesses wanting to help. at this point, we are still in the search and rescue phase. i can tell you that the atf and the state fire marshal are here. they will treat this as a crime scene until we know otherwise. there are not indications at this point that a crime is being committed. however, until we can prove otherwise, they will investigate this as possibly a criminal
