Republican incumbents William Friedrich and Jim Soelder won their primary election Tuesday, while Democrats Natalie Roseman-Mendoza and Brandy Elmore advanced to the general election in their district.
According to the Bloomington Election Commission and McLean County Clerk's office, more Democrats have taken out more vote-by-mail ballots, but Republicans have been using the in-person early voting option more frequently.
A judge has rejected a McLean County Electoral Board ruling, meaning five Republican County Board candidates are removed from the June primary ballot for not numbering pages on nominating petitions.
