Mayor George Fuller extended his sympathies via Facebook last Wednesday:
“John was a friend and mentor to me. He and his wonderful wife Judy have been a blessing to this community for many decades,” Fuller wrote. “John will be remembered for his warm smile, boundless friendship, deep caring, compassion, love and great character with which he led his life and our community, providing an example for all that knew him. I will always cherish the friendship I had with this great man.”
