There are plenty of beaches located just an hour or two away from metro Detroit that you can spend your day at with friends and family.

Belle Isle Beach: Running seven days a week from 5 a.m. until 9 p.m. this summer, visitors can enjoy Belle Isle Beach from Memorial Day until Labor Day.
The beach is located at 7845 Riverbank Dr. in Detroit.
Belle Isle will be closed from June 11-13 for the Grand Prix, according to DNR.
Other historical and educational activities such as the aquarium, nature center, museum, and more can also be enjoyed by visitors of Belle Isle.
