A new study says these North Texas cities are among the safest in the state
The study used FBI crime data to determine the safest cities in the state.

Several North Texas cities have claimed spots on AdvisorSmith’s new list of safest cities in Texas.
Business insurance resource AdvisorSmith tabulated the safest cities using 2019 crime reports from the FBI, which covered both property crimes and violent crimes, including murder, assault, motor vehicle theft and burglary with more weight being placed on violent crimes. The average crime score for Texas was 48 points, though cities ranged from 6 to 371.

More than 2,000 children and teens are signed up to receive toys this holiday season from Allen Community Outreach, which is distributing donated gifts through the Toys for Tots Collin County program.
