Sentencing proceedings in the case against the Mercedes-Benz driver convicted of stealing groceries from Woolworths during the 2021 July unrest will continue in the Durban High Court on Friday.
The Durban Regional Court has heard that the so-called "Woolworths looter" lost a job in the United Kingdom after he was caught on viral video footage looting a Woolies outlet during the July 2021 civil unrest.
'Woolies looter' Mbuso Moloi, who pleaded guilty to theft and contravention of traffic regulations in March, will be subjected to 18 months of correctional supervision under house arrest.
