The Eastern Cape Development Corporation is looking for a new operator for the Mazeppa Bay Hotel on the Wild Coast on a nine-year lease with an option for renewal. The iconic hotel closed its doors in January with its managers complaining, among other things, about the appalling state of the access road.
The DA has written to premier Oscar Mabuyane asking for urgent intervention to repair rundownroads in the Eastern Cape. The official opposition wants Mabuyane to commit to shifting funds to urgently fix roads that lead to tourist destinations and farming communities.
