Mayor Wendy Waller expresses concerns over lack of clarity in Public Health Order
Liverpool City Council and other local government areas will continue to deliver essential services to the community after Mayor Wendy Waller lobbied Local Government NSW President Councillor Linda Scott for certainty after late changes to the Public Health Order.
Mayor Waller expressed her concerns to Local Government NSW President, Councillor Linda Scott about the lack of clarity over the ability for councils to collect rubbish, provide childcare and provide emergency maintenance to roads, footpaths and drains.
“I’m very pleased this clarification occurred in a timely manner and I’ll continue lobbying the NSW Government for further updates around the list of authorised work as the changes to the Public Health Order continue”, Mayor Waller said.

Liverpool Mayor Wendy Waller has congratulated the three local residents recognised in this year’s Queen’s Birthday Honours list.
Mayor Waller said their life-long commitments to fireworks, speed skating and netball was inspiring.
“This is a great insight into the quality of people in our local government area – people whose passions are above the norm and they are involved in such interesting endeavours,” Mayor Waller said.
