The mayor added that some of the vaccines that had been donated to the Philippines through the COVAX facility could not be used for essential workers or those under the A4 category as they were donated with certain conditions.

We have a witness against them,” he said in Filipino during a radio interview. “Our legal team is now studying what are the appropriate charges that will be filed against them.” Sotto believes that there are more fixers in the city who are extorting money from individuals who want to be inoculated against COVID-19.

We can’t do anything if that much supply doesn’t come to the Philippines),” he said.
