Published April 30, 2021, 4:14 PM CEBU CITY – The country’s biggest city police station located in Barangay Poblacion, Danao City, was inaugurated Friday. Police Gen. Debold Sinas, chief of the Philippine National Police, led the inauguration of the four-story police station. Danao Mayor Ramon “Nito” Durano III, Cebu Vice Gov. Hilario Davide III, Cebu Provincial Police Office (CPPO) director Police Col. Engelbert Soriano, and Danao police chief Lt. Col. Maria Theresa Macatangay also graced the turnover and inauguration of the building. The new building was constructed after the old police station in the city was razed by fire in January 2015. The PNP initially planned to build a two-story police office but Durano offered to build a four-story building with the city government shouldering the cost of the construction.
