In the city of Rochester, the police department has almost twice as much support as the mayor.
That’s one of the data points in a recent Emerson College poll commissioned by the news staff at Channel 8.
Seriously.
Sixty-five percent of city residents have a favorable view of the Rochester Police Department, while just 35 percent have a favorable view of Mayor Lovely Warren. Similarly, while 30 percent had an unfavorable view of the police department, 51 percent had an unfavorable view of the mayor.
And yet, she is very likely to be re-elected, and her war against the police department is likely to continue.

Daily Mail reported Thursday. “Timothy Granison, 42, was pulled over by police in his car Wednesday as part of the drugs trafficking probe and was found to be in possession of a large quantity of cocaine, authorities said.
It’s not every day that a mayor’s spouse is taken into custody, but that’s exactly what happened to Rochester’s Mayor Lovely Warren.
Over the past year or so Rochester has been in the limelight for some disturbing incidents that happened in the city. On Wednesday some bad news was delivered to the mayor of Rochester, her husband Timothy Granison, was taken into custody by New York state troopers with felony charges.
According to NY Post, Law-enforcement officers with the New York State Police executed a search warrant on Mayor Warren’s home on Wednesday and arrested her husband on felony charges. According to charging documents, Timothy Granison was stopped by New York State police and during a search of his vehicle, they confiscated cocaine.

Religious leaders tell News10NBC that they were texting her throughout the speech, praising her courage to come to the podium. I texted her to let her know that I appreciated her strength in which she spoke and I knew that she would have strength because so many people in the faith community and people in Rochester are praying for the mayor,” Rev. Dr. Rickey Harvey said.
