KEY ACTION: Agreed to discuss a new police protection contract with the village of Wilmot during a special meeting set for 6 p.m. March 8 in Village Hall.
DISCUSSION: Wilmot has contracted with Beach City to provide police protection. According to village officials, the village receives $20,000 per year for the Wilmot police contract but costs continue to increase for the service.
OTHER ACTION:
Approved a resolution to provide a two-year fire protection contract with Sugar Creek Township for $20,840 per year.
Held the first reading of an ordinance to provide a contract to allow the Ohio Department of Transportation to do maintenance work and snow removal on state Route 93 and U.S. Route 212.
