Zip World bosses have said they are perplexed by recent comments from former Liverpool Mayor Joe Anderson and claim they had agreed heads of terms with the mayor on a plan to install a zip wire in the city centre.
The company has also confirmed that its planning application for the Liverpool project has not been withdrawn.
Zip World was granted planning permission for the 450ft attraction to be built between St John s Beacon - also known as the Radio City Tower - and Liverpool Central Library last year.
